Being a mom means that a lot of time I don’t have an opportunity to go out shopping. Or I am preoccupied with taking care of my little one that I forget something I need at Target. Or I forgot my wallet! UGH! This is why I am so grateful for Amazon Prime and it’s free two-day shipping. Whether I get baby items, things for the home, or personal products, it is always a lifesaver. Here are the 10 best things I have purchased from Amazon in the last year.

These storage cubes look like a nice ottoman but hold so much! We use ours to hold toys when Addie isn’t using them. We like to rotate her toys so that they stay fresh and interesting. These cubes allow us to hide them from her but not take up valuable closet space. They come in many colors, this color matches our couches perfectly!
We love this sun shelter. It came in handy over the summer when we were out and about a lot. We took it to the beach. We filled the pockets on the bottom with sand to keep it from blowing over in the wind. It was also useful when we went camping and our daughter needed a safe spot to crawl and stay out of the sun. You can literally put this shelter together with one hand! If you are going to be out in the sun with your kids, this is a must-have!
Our food processor broke over the summer so I started looking for the best thing to replace it. I think I saw an ad for this manual shredder on Facebook and was very intrigued. This is the simplest thing to put together. It has a suction cup on the bottom (that actually works) to keep it in place while you use it. It is so much faster and easier to use than a box grater. I can shred a whole block of cheese in just a few minutes. The best part? It can all go in the dishwasher!
After lugging our large stroller in and out of the car for six months, I was ready to find a light-weight umbrella stroller. I wanted a stroller that would fold down small and not take up trunk space but would still meet our needs. I love that this stroller is super light-weight but still has a storage space underneath. Addie was always comfortable in it. It maneuvered well. And I loved that I could keep it in the trunk of my car for any time I might need it. This is a great choice for an umbrella stroller.
Unless you have been living under a rock the last year, I am sure you have heard of the Instant Pot craze. Does it really live up to the hype? Yes, it does! I have made all sorts of deliciousness in my Instant Pot. From ribs to hard-boiled eggs (that peel like a dream), to cheesecake! The Instant Pot does it all! I first got my Instant Pot on Amazon Prime Day so it was a great deal. It is basically like a slow-cooker meets a pressure cooker, and makes cooking dinner a breeze. If you are in a recipe slump, adding this to your kitchen equipment will help up your game!
When my daughter started walking at around 11 months, I wanted to find her the best shoes that were the easiest to walk in. I first tried a well-known brand from a kids shoe store, but my daughter hated them! She would scream every time I put them on, and I felt like I wasted $45! I looked on Amazon to find a more affordable pair of shoes that would be more comfortable to Addie. That is when I found Momo Baby Shoes. These shoes are very affordable, which is great for fast-growing babies. They are light-weight and very easy for new-walkers to move around in. They also come in so many cute styles! I am so happy I found this brand, Addie is already on her second pair, and I look forward to getting her another as soon as her feet grow again.
This one may seem a little silly, but I promise you will love it! I went on a trip with my sister-in-law last year and she brought a little bottle of Poo-Pourri for our bathroom and it totally took the stigma of going #2 on vacation away. After I got home I bought this set to have a bottle in each of my bathrooms. And I even have a little bottle for the diaper bag. This stuff really works. All you have to do is spray the bowl once before you go (I’ve even done it after and it still worked pretty well) and it blocks all the gross smells from stinking up your bathroom. One bottle of this lasts a really long time, so it may seem pricey but you’ll be using it for months. I also like to think that it helps my guests feel more comfortable when they gotta do what they gotta do.
This one was a gift from my husband. I didn’t think I needed an electric wine opener since I am pretty handy with a corkscrew. But this one makes all the difference! My favorite part is the built-in foil-cutter on the stand. You just twist the cutter once around the foil of the wine bottle and it comes off like a dream. I don’t know how many times I almost stabbed myself with a corkscrew trying to peel the foil off. This is a much better option. Plus all you have to do is push a button to get the cork out of your bottle. If you are a wine drinker, this is a must-have!
I mentioned how much I like this humidifier in my post about Bedtime Routines. We use this humidifier every night in Addie’s room. I have found that Addie has less congestion and sleeps better with this cool-air humidifier going. It holds a gallon of water, so I do not have to refill it every night. The colored LEDs make it a bit of nightlight for Addie. It is completely silent and is so easy to use. If you are looking for a great humidifier for your kid’s room I would definitely get this one!
This is my latest Amazon Prime purchase. Adeline has a friend who brought this backpack over to our house and she was immediately obsessed. I ordered her one that day. Addie loves to put her toys and snacks in this backpack. I think it will be great practice for her to start carrying her own things in the future. The backpack has a chest clip which is great to actually keep it on my wiggly toddler. It also has a detachable leash which I have yet to use. However, I could see this being very useful. They come in all sorts of cute styles and are really good quality. I can’t wait to see Addie carrying around her most precious belongings in this cute backpack!
Great blog!!! Per your suggestion I too bought the storage cubes and love them!!!! I use them for our snuggle couch blankets and other trinket things I yet to have found a place for. Adds extra seating for guests during large parties and comfy for my feet to prop on while sitting at our couch!
I make Greek yogurt in my Instant Pot every week. If you ever make Greek yogurt, get the Euro Strainer too. It’s so much easier than using cheesecloth. We had a backpack like that when my kids were little. It’s so helpful. We had season passes to an amusement park, and it let them be out of the stroller exploring without having to hold our hands the whole time (which can be tiring to little arms).
I love Amazon! Thanks for sharing your great finds!
As another SAHM who is obsessed with Amazon Prime, Ioved reading this blog post!!! Several of the items I already have, but I’ve never seen that type of mandolins before, and the poo-pourri needs to be added to my bathroom ASAP!!! I love how you added helpful momma reviews to each item too! Thank you for a great post!
Thanks for your list and reviews! Two of your items are now on my shopping list; the humidifier and of course, the InstaPot!
Great items!! I keep wanting to get a Instant Pot, but keep putting it off. I think it’s time I just go buy one!
We have the beach tent also and I love it! So easy and perfect for the beach, soccer games, and picnics.
And, I’ve been on the hunt for a good umbrella stroller!! Thank you!
After reading this I want everything!!!!!
Love that you included a wine opener. A must for moms! I have been eyeing the InstantPot for a while. I may just have to pull the plug. 🙂
I love Amazon Prime!!! We do a lot of our shopping on Amazon, as well. Things are usually priced really well and if you have the Amazon Prime Credit Card, you get 5% back on every purchase. I don’t go out shopping that much anymore either now that I am a mom. It is a lot more work lugging around a toddler who’d rather be running around and playing. I enjoyed reading this post!
Such an amazing list of items! I am absolutely covering that mandolin and adding it to my wishlist immediately. Thanks for sharing!
I received an Instant Pot as a gift from my daughter and love it. In fact my wife said I should marry it. I also recently bought the humidifier that you wrote about and it’s really helping me sleep, so it’s good for grown ups too.
